Why is this needed?

Official YouTube apps use Google Play Services for authentication. Since Morphe is modified and has a different package signature, it cannot connect to the official Play Services.

MicroG bridges this gap by mimicking the necessary Google APIs, allowing you to:

check Log in with your Google Account
check Sync subscriptions and playlists
check Maintain watch history
